3.3 Workmanship. Sodium polyphosphate shall be visibly free from foreign matter and suitable for its intended use when examined as specified in 4.3.2.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the acquisition order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the acquisition order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the government. The government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
4.2 Quality conformance inspection. Quality conformance inspection shall consist of the examinations of paragraph 4.3 and the tests of 4.4.
4.3 Examination.
4.3.1 Examination of preparation for delivery.
4.3.1.1 Lot. For this examination, a lot shall be sodium polyphosphate fully packed, marked, and offered for examination at one time. Lot size shall be expressed in number of filled shipping containers.
4.3.1.2 Sampling plan. Sample unit for this examination shall be one shipping container. Defects shall be scored in accordance with table III.
