COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
SODIUM BICARBONATE, TECHNICAL
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
Commercial Item Description for all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers technical grade sodium bicarbonate for use in soda-acid fire extinguishers, in chemical munitions, and for other purposed where a technical grade of mildly alkaline material is required. It is not intended for medicinal or edible purposes.
2. CLASSIFICATION. The sodium bicarbonate shall be classified by the classes in table 1 as specified in the acquisition order (see 6.4 (b))
