DETAIL SPECIFICATION
POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE SOLUTION
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers four classes of aqueous potassium hydroxide
solution.
1.2 Classification. The potassium hydroxide solution is of the following classes and unit
quantity, as specified (see 6.2):
1.2.1 Classes.
Class 1 - 34 percent solution
Class 2 - 50 percent solution
Class 3 - 30 percent solution
Class 4 - 40 percent solution
